Water element in the bedroom
Water (水) represents flow, wisdom, calm. Water is restful and deep, but actual moving water is traditionally kept out of the bedroom. Use it through colour (navy, charcoal, black accents), glass and flowing shapes instead.
Colours: black, deep blue. Shapes: waves, irregular forms. To add water: a small fountain, glass, deep blue or black accents, flowing organic lines.

- Feeds Wood: too much water can be softened by adding wood.

Signs of too much or too little water
Too little: the qualities of water (flow, wisdom, calm) feel missing. The room may read as dry and rigid.
Too much: the room feels dark and melancholy. The traditional fix is to add wood, which water feeds, rather than stripping everything out.
